Alex Peay is the creator of Pop Pop Bruce Johnson, a beloved social media figure known for his wisdom, humor, and heartfelt storytelling that bridges generations. With over 2 million followers across platforms, Pop Pop captivates audiences with his old-school grandparent mannerisms, life lessons, and comedic takes on modern life bringing comfort, laughter, and inspiration to people of all ages.
Alex is also the Founder and former Executive Director of Ones Up, a not-for-profit focused on building sustainable communities through the empowerment of young people. With more than 20 years of experience helping youth find purpose-driven careers, Alex has dedicated his career to creating opportunities that uplift and inspire.
He received a Bachelor's degree from Ursinus College, majoring in Politics with minors in Media Communications and American Studies. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including NBC’s 28 Under 28 for the nation's most talented innovators, a prestigious Echoing Green fellowship, and features in international publications like Black Enterprise Magazine.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Alex enjoys spending time with his two daughters, experimenting in the kitchen, and catching the latest NBA & NFL games on ESPN.
