About me
Kobi Amissah, the self-proclaimed “Minister of Enjoyment of Philadelphia,” is a West Philly–raised content creator and entrepreneur widely recognized for shaping how audiences experience the city’s culture, food, nightlife, fashion, and entertainment through authentic and bold digital storytelling under an intersectional lens. After studying abroad and receiving a great local response to his blog, Kobi decided to take content creation to the next level. The mandated 2020 quarantine provided the perfect opportunity to foster his creativity while at home. That same year, he founded Cocktails by Kobi, a mobile bartending company that grew out of one of his longtime passions.
Since then, Kobi has collaborated with organizations including Visit Philadelphia, Disney on Broadway, Philadelphia International Airport, the Office of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Mural Arts, and more. In 2024, his work earned him recognition as a finalist in the Philadelphia Magazine Influencer Awards, and he was most recently featured as a guest on the PHL17 television show “Positively Philly.” Kobi blends his background in marketing, media, and hospitality into his work as a creator, helping audiences discover what’s really happening in Philly and beyond.
